The Ideal Candidate For This Role Would Have
At Teaching Personnel, we have an opportunity to place a Teaching Assistant in an OFSTED ‘Outstanding’ rated school for pupils aged 11-25 with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.
Experience of working with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties particularly those pupils with Autism/ willingness to train.
A calm and patient manner to support pupils through difficult times.
Someone who is comfortable with outdoor play and support if needed.
This school has excellent facilities to support the development of the children with classes usually having 6 to 10 pupils present. This supplemented with speech and language therapists, nurses and a nationally recognized football club-run workshops. The school’s reputation is well regarded in the local community and the motives of the school are further recognized with its recent OFSTED rating being outstanding in all areas inspected.
Your role at the school would be to assist the class teacher and possibly support other TA’s in the room throughout the school day. Your main duties will include helping pupils with their work, assistance in group work activities, providing an alternative environment for the pupils to work to promote the pupils progress and help them reach their full potential.
The school is situated in the Sale area of Trafford, just off the A56, with public transport links nearby.
