My client a successful family run business in Sale are currently looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk for their small tea. This role is to assist the Finance Manager and my client is looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role. Set in beautiful offices close to lots of local public transport links this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work for a great company in a nice team. Job Details The Purchase Ledger Clerk is responsible for ensuring that the company's purchase ledger is kept in an orderly fashion and all debts are paid in order of priority. Daily posting of Purchase Ledger invoices received onto the system and then distribution to the correct manager for authorisation. Input of the appropriate due date for payment onto the system. Checking purchase invoices to goods deliveries where applicable. Close off ledgers at period end and reconcile to Nominal Ledger. Raising and sending out monthly bacs runs and weekly payments once authorised by the Finance Manager Preparation of monthly cash payment forecasts and liaison with Management Accountant on payment timings. Post all purchase ledgers payment on Sage from the cashbook. Person Specification Previous Purchase Ledger Experience a must Previous Sage Experience desirable Numerate Organised Methodical Ability to work under pressure My clients working hours are Monday to Friday 9 until 5.15pm with 1 hour for lunch.
