Responsibilites
Responsibility for Quality Management System (QMS) for Varroc Lighting Systems (VLS)
Responsible for VLS procedures and updates.
Maintain and execute certification audit schedule for VLS
Implement Audit Programs for all external certifications including IATF 16949.
Maintain and execute audit schedule for all customer audits.
Monitored standards, analyze trends, develop and deliver training programs based upon areas for improvement or changes to automotive standards. Ensure procedures are updated.
Monitored Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs), develop and deliver training programs based upon areas for improvement or changes to CSR.
Ensure adequate number of certified auditors to perform self-audits to the certification standards.
Ensure proper job descriptions and skills matrix are updated and maintain for your Department.
Ensure there is a Layer Process Audit (LPA) Program to verify adherence to all certification standards and the VLS procedures. Maintain metrics and targets of LPAs. Identify non-conformances and areas of improvement Escalate to OC major NC’s or lack of support.
Ensure there is a program of Product and Process audit according to VDA 6.3 and VDA 6.5. As well as the annual internal system audit according to IATF16949 and VDA 6.1.
Establish and maintain certification library at each site to ensure most recent standards are available.
QMS Training for key procedures / processes.
Perform gap analysis for missing processes to comply with the new IATF 16949 standard. Create action plan for core groups to complete for compliance.
Ensure VLS is ready for certification IATF 16949 audits.
Update Procedures Roles and Responsibilities. Make links between Job Descriptions and Procedure Responsibilities.
Support Weekly staff meetings to communicate progress to all metrics and goals.
Support VLS MOR with metrics and next steps for all items related to QMS.
When VLS Quality Customer Leader is not available, lead Staff Meeting and ensure proper escalation to ensure dates are reached, new plans in place with all customer systems updated. Escalate in time to prevent.
Monitor Plant Deviations (e.g. FDI, Alerts) to ensure adequate resolution (quality / timing) and escalate in time to prevent issues.
Ensure there is an Emergency plan, back-up plans are approved and maintained
Education Requirement(s)
Master’s degree in Quality management or industrial engineering
