Job Summary The Credit Control Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to managing a team of credit controllers and cash collection across our BIC Maroc operations and 35 export customers. Setting monitoring KPI s on a daily basis, opening new customer accounts, setting credit limits, credit checking, continually looking at ways of improving policies and procedures, resolving complex queries, liaising with internal departments, and other ad hoc duties when required. As a new department manager, you will own the credit and risk roadmap to enable sales to proceed and build over time in line with forecasts Risk management will be highly visible in this entrepreneurial company and the ability to not only manage this risk and bad debt but to suggest and drive improvements to processes is key. You will be the main contact for producing debtor reports and will distribute reports to the team on a regular and ad hoc basis and ensure that any action points are followed up. You will also be responsible for maintaining the Credit Control policy and ensuring that the Credit Control team work within established protocolsMain Responsibilities Tasks Full responsibility for the credit control function Day to day management of the credit control team will include regular team meetings, coordinating and managing workloads, recruitment and disciplinary issues, annual performance reviews and working closely with all team members to ensure a consistent approach and high standards of work You will be responsible for providing team members with training on the necessary systems and procedures Together with the team guarantee compliance with our professional rules and codes of practice to ensure a wholly ethical approach to your activities The variety of clients and their various circumstances (mainly on export business) also requires you to exercise discretion and judgement and provides a degree of autonomy in your role Ensure, together with the team, that all payments and information are recorded on time and accurately in the accountancy system respecting local legal and corporate regulations Run credit checks and setting credit limits in line with policy Managing the team to ensure collection targets are met First level of sign off for finance for new credit applications Manage credit limits prepare and approve increase and override requests Providing weekly/monthly reports to senior management on the current status of the AR ledger Oversee preparation of weekly reminder letters and monthly statements Submit and liaise with solicitors regarding account passed for legal action Prepare annual reports for auditors at year and quarter ends Conduct periodic reviews of existing credit limits and acquiring sufficient information to make informed decisions Operate the Credit Insurance policy within agreed limits and procedures Liaise and coordinating with business partners as required Help the finance manager on providing information to external auditors and other external parties. Provide support for the Audit teams Monitor the working time of the team and provide back up during absences (holiday sickness leave) Recruit, train and develop team members and practice people performance management reviews (mid year and year end evaluation reviews)
